LOWELL SPINNERS 2008 SCHEDULE RELEASED

Open season at home on Tuesday, June 17

LOWELL, MA – The Lowell Spinners released their 2008 schedule, which opens with a six-game home-stand on Tuesday, June 17.

Other highlights include a three-game series against the visiting Staten Island Yankees from July 29 to 31, and a three-game set against the visiting Brooklyn Cyclones from August 6 to 8.

The 2008 schedule features five Friday games, six Saturday games and seven Sunday games.

The schedule also includes two afternoon games on Sunday, August 3 against Vermont and Sunday, August 10 against Hudson Valley, both of which are scheduled to begin at 1:35 p.m.

For the first time since 2002 and just the second time at LeLacheur Park, ticket prices have increased by 50 cents, but a Spinners game remains extremely affordable. Reserved Seats are now $5.00, Box Seats are now $7.00, Premium Box Seats are now $8.00 and Standing Room tickets are now $4.00.

The entire schedule is available at www.lowellspinners.com. The Spinners will begin booking groups, birthday parties, Gator Pit outings, Scout Nights and Baseball Camps in February. Individual tickets will go on sale in late March online and early April over the phones and in person.

As in the past, games from Monday through Friday begin at 7:05 p.m. while weekend games begin at 5:05 p.m., with the exception of the two afternoon games mentioned above.

The Spinners have sold every seat in the ballpark over its last eight seasons. They are believed to be the only team in professional baseball to do so.
