Lowell, MA – The Lowell Spinners, Class A Affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, and the MIAA (Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association, Inc.) announced today that LeLacheur Park will host the MIAA Boy’s State Baseball Championship for the next 10 years, through 2017.
“The Lowell Spinners are thrilled to forge a long-term relationship with the MIAA,” said Lowell Spinners Vice President and General Manager, Tim Bawmann.
“Working together, we are excited to ensure that, for years to come, local baseball athletes will have a professional facility to compete in for their most memorable high school games.”
“The opportunity to utilize LeLacheur Park’s fine facilities is appreciated,” said MIAA Deputy Director, William N. Gaine, Jr. “Many student athletes have benefited from the partnership and will continue to in the future.”
The MIAA State Championships span across two weekends and include the North finals and State finals for all divisions.
Typically, the MIAA State Championships are held in early
