JON BOSWELL NAMED MEDIA RELATIONS MANAGER

Woburn native joins full-time Spinners staff

Lowell, MA – The Lowell Spinners, Class A Affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, announced this week that Jon Boswell has been named the team’s Media Relations Manager.

The Woburn native is returning to the Spinners after serving as an intern in the Promotions and Public Relations department during the 2006 and 2007 seasons. Prior to re-joining the Spinners, Boswell had been working as the Director of Marketing for KBK Sports Marketing.

“I’m excited to be joining the Spinners full-time staff,” said Boswell. “To be able to join one of the most successful organizations in the game is a great opportunity.”

“Jon has been a part of our staff for two seasons and is very familiar with how we operate,” said Vice President/General Manager Tim Bawmann. “We look forward to Jon joining the team in a full-time role.”

Boswell graduated from Woburn High School in 2003 and Duquesne University (Pittsburgh, Pa.) in 2007 with a BA with a concentration in Sports Marketing/Marketing. Additionally, he is currently enrolled in the Masters of Sports Leadership program at Duquesne.
