LOWELL SPINNERS TO HOST RED SOX OPENING MORNING PARTY

Breakfast with the Red Sox to include raffle for tickets to Red Sox Home Opener

LOWELL, MA – The Red Sox are starting their season earlier than usual, both in time and date. With the Red Sox opening the season in Japan, the Lowell Spinners, Class-A Affiliate of the defending World Series Champion Boston Red Sox, are hosting a special Breakfast and Baseball event, Tuesday,

March 25 from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. at Hookslide Kelly’s in downtown Lowell.

This unique event will include a limited edition bobblehead doll of Jonathan Papelbon in a Red Sox uniform for the first 100 fans in attendance. Additionally, the first 100 fans will also receive complimentary breakfast sandwiches, courtesy of Hookslide Kelly’s. Coffee and juice will also be provided.

Also as part of this special event, there will be a raffle to benefit the Joann Weber Charitable Fund and Lowell Spinner Charities. With the Red Sox due to receive their new World Series rings on April 8, this season’s home opener at Fenway holds special importance. As a result, the Spinners are raffling off a pair of tickets for the home opener against the Tigers at Fenway Park on April 8.

“With so many former Spinners receiving World Series rings, we feel it is only fitting to send a pair of dedicated fans to the game to see it,” said Spinners Vice President and General Manager Tim Bawmann.

Raffle tickets are being sold in the following packages: One raffle ticket for $5; three raffle tickets for $10; or 10 raffle tickets for $20.

Raffle tickets can be purchased by calling Spinners Merchandise Director Jeff Cohen at 978-805-5111, by visiting the Spinners Souvenir Store at LeLacheur Park, or online at lowellspinners.com.
