Tim Bawmann, Vice President/General Manager
Tim completed his fourth season as the team's General Manager- 18th in Minor League Baseball in 2007. Under his guidance the club set an all time attendance record of 198,453 fans, a single game attendance record and extended the franchise sellout streak to 308 games in 2007. While in Lowell, Bawmann's staff has established pre-season marketing franchise records in 2004, topped in 2005 and 2006 and topped yet again in 2007, added summer baseball camps, sleep-over camp-outs on the field, Yankees Elimination Promotion, Lowell Spinners Road Race and an annual "Spreadin' The Love Tour" to the Spinners lineup. Bawmann also serves on the NY-Penn League's Board of Directors, the Greater Merrimack Visitors and Convention Bureau Board of Directors and the Greater Lowell Boy's and Girl's Club Board of Directors. His baseball career started in 1988 as an Assistant to the General Manager of the Beloit Brewers. Later that year he joined the Houston Astros organization at their Spring Training home in Kissimmee, FL.. In 1991 he was promoted to General Manager and Spring Training Coordinator. While with the Astros he initiated a name change from the Osceola Astros to the Kissimmee Cobras in 1995. In 1997 he was named the Vice President/General Manager of the Quad City River Bandits and held that post into the 2001 season. In Quad City, the River Bandits won their division's Stadium Operations Award twice. In 2003 he returned to the Florida State League as the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Montreal Expos owned, Brevard County Manatees. The Bawmann bunch- wife, Kelley, daughter Chloe (13) and son Elijah (9) reside in Nashua, New Hampshire.
